Florida is a leader in conducting innovative research (competing with the likes of California). Many of the best clinical trial facilities are located in “The Sunshine State” making it a prime location for Pharmaceutical companies to sponsor new studies. This is not the only reason that Florida has become such a good environment for clinical trials.
There are a few key factors that have helped set Florida apart from the pack:
- Access to a large patient population base
- State-of-the-art clinical trial facilities
- Demographically an ideal match for the nation as a whole
Development pioneers are working to get more pharmaceutical companies to move their headquarters to Florida. Given the enrollment success that facilities like Moffitt Cancer Center see, this should not be too difficult. This area has grown into a pivotal influencer for the clinical research industry.
